CHALLENGE

The project encompassed the design, installation, deployment and maintenance of an On-Board Internet (IoB) system for 20 ED250 electric multiple units (EMUs) manufactured by Alstom and operated by PKP Intercity on premium-class domestic services. Its primary objective was to provide passengers with the highest-quality Internet access throughout their journey.

SOLUTION

The entire fleet of twenty ED250 EMUs operated by PKP Intercity was equipped with amodern, high-performance, and secure wireless internet access system.The project included both work on the train units and the development of groundinfrastructure necessary to deliver high-level service in accordance with thelatest technological and regulatory standards.

Increased Attractiveness of the Operator's Offer

By enabling passengers on ED250 EMUs to access internet services, the operator's offer became significantly more appealing — helping to attract new customers and enhance brand perception.
