Grid stability monitoring includes observation of voltage changes in individual phases, frequency control, voltage asymmetry analysis including zero and negative sequence components, and assessment of THD coefficients in individual phases and total values. Additionally, voltage sags and swells are recorded with 10 ms resolution, as well as flicker and rapid voltage changes.
In combination with an advanced electricity meter, the system enables simultaneous operation as a measurement and settlement unit and power quality analyzer with measurement compliant with PN-EN 61000-4-30 and data analysis in accordance with PN-EN 50160.
The installed system features increased resistance to network disturbances, including full immunity to ferroresonance. It ensures galvanic separation of secondary voltage circuits coming from the sensor and those connected to the meter. The system also provides harmonic and interharmonic analysis of voltage and current up to the 50th order.
The installed system has been operating correctly since 20.08.2024. The use of SGF20/0/SMVS hybrid overhead transformers enabled a reduction in the equipment installed on the pole structure - eliminating the need for separate voltage transformers and related primary circuit protections. An additional benefit is the ability to transmit energy measurement data via Ethernet, RS485, SCADA, MODBUS.
